UTLX 6500 series

The UTLX 6500-6599 series were originally built as IOX 2051-2167 by Imperial Oil, Ltd. in 9/1914 (likely with tanks built by IOL and mounted on underframes constructed by CC&F). The underframes appear to be a UTLX Type X, with high walkways, typical of IOL cars of this period.

Some of the original cars were rebuilt by IOL with heating coils, likely during the 1930s, and these modified cars were renumbered to UTLX 46201-46210. Some of these cars were renumbered during the 1920s with other reporting marks and numbers assigned to the Transit Company, Ltd. In later years, some of these cars were given TCLX reporting marks, but retained their original IOX numbers.
