Background

This railway operated as a 3'6" narrow-gauge line in Newfoundland, interchanging with CN's Newfoundland operations at Bishop's Falls West and Windsor. It appeared on the scene in 1956 by leasing (purchasing?) lines of the Anglo-Newfoundland Development Co. between Windsor, Grand Falls, Bishop's Falls and Botwood, Newfoundland. Reporting mark added 10/1957, eliminated 10/1977.
